LEO AND PAPA AT THE THORNTON HARVESTFEST

On Saturday, September 6th, after both Papa and Leo got their haircut, it was decided they should check out the Thornton Harvestfest while Nana was working at Kohl's. A good time was had by all (especially Leo) and the following pictures show the things Leo was able to do:

Slide on the big kid slide

Ride in the green train car

Drive a fire engine (he tried to reach the pedals)

I guess I should have taken a picture of Leo's face after he finished his chocolate ice cream cone.

The DNC in Denver!

Denver hosted the DNC, and regardless of your affiliation, it was awesome! Matt, Jack, and I went downtown to check out the action!

There were plenty of crazy lookin' people, and the SWAT team to keep them all in check:

  

And, it wouldn't be Colorado without dogs.

The Tree is Down

Ding Dong, the tree is down. In one of his ever present spontaneous moments, Papa had the huge blue spruce cut down in the front yard. We now have a front porch.

The neighbors were delighted and appreciative that the wicked tree is gone. Now they can see directly into Papa's bathroom window (window shades have been ordered).

The pile of branches were also taken away and we are left with a stump.
